A few days before Sabrina emailed me I was sitting at work and I thought to myself, I really hope a couple contacts me to shoot their elopement soon. When I got Sabrina's email I knew it would work, because I had called this beautiful couple to me! We emailed and face timed and we dreamt up a beautiful intimate elopement here in Colorado.
Before I knew it Sabrina and Greg were making the 14+ hour drive up to Boulder from Texas and we were getting everything in order. I have to say that when a couple contacts me to photograph anything that is as special to them like their wedding I get pretty excited. I squeal and I jump around and I am so flattered that I don't know what to do with myself. To have a couple not only ask me to photograph their wedding, but also to design their flowers, to do calligraphy for them, and to trust me enough to help choose where they should do all of this was such an honor.
So, when we drove to their b&b the morning of their wedding I was nervous and I was sooooo excited. It is easy to love these two and love the way they are together. They are easy with each other and comfortable like friends and like family and now like husband and wife.
Colorado is amazing for many reason, one of them is that you can legally marry yourselves here with no officiant. So Sabrina and Greg did just that outside an adorable historic mountain town called Gold Hill.
It was such a treat to spend this special day with them on the side of a mountain hearing them exchange such lovely vows, driving through fire burnt canyons, and freezing our buts off while the wind whipped us around in all directions. It was an adventure and I am so grateful to Sabrina and Greg for asking Dustin and I to be a part of it! Congrats Sabrina and Greg, wishing you so much happiness together!
